Confession (am I annoying you yet?), I thought the whole coconut oil being the the holy grail situation was a big load of tree-hugging millennial crap (sorry). I did.
Some context. I have oily, acne-prone skin. So naturally, like most grease-balls, I panic at the though of applying OIL to my already oily skin. I mean, wouldn’t oil just exasperate my French-fry syndrome?
Apparently, not the right kind of oil. Since I ditched my old moisturizers (yes, in plural because I used to alternate between 3), and started using exclusively coconut oil at night, get ready for this one… My skin is LESS OILY during the day! CRAZY. I KNOW.
Not only that, I break out less due to the naturally anti fungal/microbial components in coconut oil and my skin is perfectly moisturized. This fits right into my transition to more natural and safer grooming products. It doesn’t get any more natural than organic, cold-pressed coconut oil. And lets not forget about how it’s a party for your nose! The subtle coconut smell takes me straight to a beach, drink in-hand, helping me relax after a long day.
So yeah. I’m converted. If you haven’t tried rubbing coconut oil all over your face (and the rest of yo’ body), you’re seriously missing out on some bliss.
About this outfit: Now, can we please talk about this crochet bikini?! Crochet bikinis are a must-have for summer ’16. They’re so feminine and hella SEX-AY. This gorgeous, hand-crafted bikini was a gift from The Swimwear Tags. Check out their website at www.TheSwimwearTags.com to peep the entire collection. Like I said, every single piece is handmade so no two designs are the same. I also love that it’s made with stretchy cotton-yarn ensuring a perfect fit. These chic earrings in 10k gold, were also a gift from Michael Hill. They have a huge selection of fine jewelry and great customer service.
